Moonwise newsletter for Yew Moon
Thank you to everyone who has already bought their 2019 Moonwise Calendars and Diaries. I am very grateful for your support in these difficult and uncertain times.

If you haven’t bought your calendars yet, don’t miss out on them. They contain Maggie Organ’s last work before retiring, and her wonderful pictures and research focus once more on positive environmental action.

The Britain & Ireland Diary now has daily sun and moon times for Manchester alongside the other places, bringing better accuracy for many of you in Northern England, the North Midlands and North Wales. Inverness is there, too, for those of you further north in Scotland.

The Cornwall Diary adds Bodmin and Hugh Town.

Don't forget that when you order from us at Edge of Time, you get discounts for ordering calendars and diaries together, and the postage is kept below cost.

For this month, you can save further money by buying just two diaries, or just three calendars. This is ideal for getting extra copies as presents for your friends and family.
Some of you prefer to buy via well-known companies (though we still post the calendars and diaries ourselves), so here are the Amazon links:

This huge group of sea animals were lost in the Great Dying: the Permian Triassic Extinction Event that wiped out 96% of marine species, and 70% of land vertebrate species (amphibians, reptiles and proto-mammals).

Like many of you, I’m sure, I was shocked to read the latest report from the World Wildlife Fund that tells us that the population of wildlife declined globally by 60% between 1970 and 2014. Although this is not the extinction of 60% of species, it is still a very serious matter. We must stop the Sixth Great Extinction in its tracks.

We need to end the destruction of forests, and plant a lot more trees. If we collectively eat very much less meat, it would free up a lot of land for human food and tree planting.

Brexit seems less important in all this, but in my view populist nationalism, such as in Brazil now, is going to make it so much harder to save our fellow species.
As ever, I'd be very grateful if you could spread the word about the Moonwise Calendars and Diaries on social media, if you're into it.

If you’re in Earth’s northern lands, enjoy the rest of the autumn and the cosy, dark nights.
